Built for the UK

Ticketing software for the UK, built around the promoter

Futura Tickets is an event ticketing platform built for promoters, not marketplaces: Apple Pay and Google Pay in the checkout, VAT applied the way you configure it, box-office reporting ready for your PRS for Music return, and your attendees' data belonging to you. Full control of the box office, encrypted anti-fraud QR tickets and official resale under your own rules and price cap.

What selling tickets properly in the UK actually takes

Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout

Debit cards made up more than half of all UK payments in 2024 — over 26 billion transactions — and 57% of adults were registered with a mobile wallet. The checkout ships with Apple Pay and Google Pay as standard, so the final step of the purchase matches how Britain actually pays.

VAT on tickets, applied properly

Admission to concerts, festivals and sporting events is standard-rated at 20% for VAT-registered organisers, while eligible cultural bodies can qualify for exemption. The platform applies the rate you configure per event, so your figures reconcile cleanly — no manual corrections at quarter end.

Box office ready for your PRS return

Promoters of paid popular-music concerts pay PRS for Music 4% of gross box office receipts under Tariff LP, and must report every ticket type completely and accurately. The per-event revenue breakdown comes straight out of the platform, without stitching together spreadsheets.

Official resale, under your rules

UK law already obliges resellers to disclose face value, seat details and restrictions, and the Government has confirmed plans to cap resale at face value through a draft Ticket Tout Ban Bill. Encrypted QR tickets and resale inside your own channel — with your price ceiling — keep you ahead of where the rules are heading.

Your attendees' data is yours

Emails, phone numbers and purchase history belong 100% to the organiser and are exportable, handled in line with UK GDPR. Remarketing, memberships and next season's on-sale without asking a marketplace for permission to speak to your own audience.

Built for the British season

The UK festival season runs May to September, with line-up announcements and on-sales concentrated months earlier. Flexible settlements — even before the event — help fund production and deposits when your cash flow needs it most, not weeks after the last encore.

Questions UK promoters ask

Do I need a PRS for Music licence for my event, and how much does it cost?+

For paid popular-music concerts, promoters pay PRS for Music 4% of gross box office receipts under Tariff LP (4.2% if booking fees and other charges are not declared), with a minimum of £18 per event that can be waived where reporting requirements are met. Recorded music, including DJ sets, is licensed separately through PPL. Confirm the current tariff with PRS for Music before your event.

Do I have to charge VAT on ticket sales in the UK?+

Admission charges to concerts, festivals and sporting events are standard-rated at 20% once the organiser is above the VAT registration threshold. Admission to qualifying cultural events may be exempt when supplied by non-profit "eligible bodies" under Group 13, Schedule 9 of the VAT Act 1994. The detail is in HMRC's VAT Notice 701/47 — verify your position with HMRC or your accountant.

Can I pass the booking fee on to my customers?+

Yes — passing the booking fee to the buyer is standard practice on UK platforms. But the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 requires the total price, including all unavoidable fees, to be visible from the first price the customer sees, and gives the CMA direct enforcement powers with fines of up to 10% of global turnover. A checkout that shows the full price up front is no longer optional.

Will the new ticket resale price cap affect me as an organiser?+

Not yet as law: the Government confirmed in the King's Speech its intention to ban resale above face value plus unavoidable fees, via a draft Ticket Tout Ban Bill still in pre-legislative scrutiny with no timetable. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 already requires resellers to disclose face value and restrictions, and the CMA opened investigations into Viagogo and StubHub in November 2025. Running an official resale channel with a price cap puts you ahead of the change.

What commission does Futura Tickets charge, and who pays it?+

Futura Tickets works on a per-ticket commission with no fixed or monthly fees: you only pay when you sell. Whether the organiser or the ticket buyer absorbs the commission is configured with you, event by event. The specific proposal is agreed at the demo, based on your volumes and event types.
